About Me

Hi everyone....... My name is Miguel Angel Martínez and welcome to my website. I hope you enjoy this site and get to know me a little better. May be , who knows, I will make new friends with it. I also would like to use this site to keep my friends informed of what am I up to, and also allow future Employers to have a little more information than just a resume. I created this website in August of 2000, and I used it primarily to keep in touch with my family. Now I hope that it allows me to do a lot more.

I was born in Caracas - Venezuela. I am the youngest of 8 (6 girls and 2 boys). My Mother's name is Luisa Elena (85) and my Dad's name was Hector Manuel ( he passed away in 1983). I have been blessed with a wonderful family. You are welcome to see pictures of my family in the section called "photographs" in this website. I was a very active child, and I liked to do the normal stuff the boys like to do (riding a bike, rollerblading etc, etc) but there is one sport which I still love and play to this date, and the name of that sport is Baseball. I've been playing Baseball in the summer time with a team called Giants since 1998. We have a website that you are more than welcome to visit if you want to now more about us.

I came to America in 1977 as a Foreign Exchange Student. During that year I went to Wahlert High School and I lived for a few months with the Busch Family in Wisconsin and for a few more months with the Bowerman Family in Dubuque, Iowa. This American Families are the most wonderful people I've ever met and I will always be grateful for the things they did for me.

I got my Bachelor in Science from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City , Iowa and I work for DecisionOne as a Help Desk Computer Technician. Currently I am studying to get my MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)

One of my favorite place in this world is called La Gran Sabana (Grand Savannah). This beautiful and unique place is located in Bolívar- Venezuela. Talk about a place that you can forget all our worries and be in touch with yourself as well as with nature. There you will find the tallest waterfall in the world....El Salto Angel or Angel Falls and the third tallest El Salto Kukenan, where the water falls from plateau formations called "Tepuys" I am in the process of creating a website dedicated to this wonderful place.

At the moment I am not married but at would like to be. It has been hard to find a soul mate specially since I work full time and go to school but I have faith that I will fine someone special someday soon. I am very family oriented person and I would love to start a family.
